The Longhorns (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Buna (Buna, TX). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 7-10 record. In their last challenge, Buna was beaten by Nederland (Nederland, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans (Coldspring, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. Silsbee will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Grapeland (Grapeland, TX).
