In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Mineral County Serpents volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Word of Life Christian Academy .

The Serpents (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Round Mountain (Round Mountain, NV). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Round Mountain edged Lund (Lund, NV), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the play the Round Mountain Knights (Round Mountain, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 30. Word of Life Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
