Virginia High School Volleyball - Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy overwhelmed by New Covenant

New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys (Moneta, VA), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, New Covenant improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Gryphons host Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA) to face the Tornadoes in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Tornadoes go into the test with a record of 8-0.

The Ospreys now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roanoke Valley Christian for a VACA test on Tuesday, September 3. Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy will face a EAGLES squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA). The EAGLES record now stands at 2-4.
