The Uintah Utes volleyball squad (Vernal, UT), was edged 2-1 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Salt Lake Academy Griffins (Herriman, UT)

With the win, Salt Lake Academy improves its record to 8-4 on the season. The Griffins travel to Centennial (Las Vegas, NV) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 31. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 10-1. Centennial won 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Foothill (Henderson, NV)

The Utes (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Herriman (West Herriman, UT). The Mustangs enter the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Herriman held off Farmington (Farmington, UT), 3-2, in a non-league match.
