In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Highland Bulldogs football squad scored a good 50-27 triumph over the Jacksonville Crimsons.
The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL). The Crusaders come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Althoff Catholic defeated Alton (Alton, IL), 34-13, in a non-league match.
Next up, the Crimsons play the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers (Decatur, IL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 5. Jacksonville will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 36-14 non-league loss to Streator (Streator, IL).
