Texas High School Football - Jay tops Holmes

August 30, 2025: San Antonio, TX 78227

The Jay Mustangs football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Holmes Huskies to 14 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lehman for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. Jay will play a Lobos team coming off a 42-16 non-league loss to Chaparral (Killeen, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 0-1.

The Huskies (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against MacArthur (San Antonio, TX). The Brahmas come into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, MacArthur went down by LEE (San Antonio, TX), 12-7, in a non-league test.
