The St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings football team scored 28 points and restricted the visiting Holy Cross Knights to 18 in the Vikings non-league win on Saturday.

In their next game, the Vikings face the St. Peter's Eagles (Staten Island, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 6. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 17-0 non-league loss to Curtis (Staten Island, NY).

The Knights (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Francis Prep (Fresh Meadows, NY). The Terriers come into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, St. Francis Prep topped St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY), 41-27, in a league test.
