Missouri High School Football - Jennings nips McCluer

The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Jennings Warriors (Jennings, MO) and the host McCluer Comets (Florissant, MO), witnessed Jennings's football squad edge McCluer by a tally of 33-26.

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Burroughs (St. Louis, MO). The Bombers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Burroughs was tipped by University City (St. Louis, MO), 20-0, in a non-league bout.

The Comets now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parkway West for a St. Louis Suburban - Green contest on Friday, September 5. McCluer will confront a Longhorns squad coming off a 28-27 non-league win over Seckman (Imperial, MO). The Longhorns record now stands at 1-0.
