Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) and the host Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI), saw Prout's soccer squad knock off Pilgrim by a count of 2-0.
The Crusaders (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Avengers enter the Division 1 battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, East Greenwich tipped Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Patriots confront the La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) in a Division 1 battle, on Thursday, September 4. Pilgrim will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 3-2 league win over Lincoln (Lincoln, RI).
