The Normal University Pioneers were victorious over the visiting Champaign Central Maroons volleyball team by a tally of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Pioneers now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Springfield for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 4.

With the loss, Champaign Central drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL) to confront the Grey Ghosts in a non-league game on Saturday, August 30. The Grey Ghosts go into the game with a record of 0-0.
