In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Beaver County Christian soccer squad scored a close 2-0 triumph over the Blackhawk Cougars.
With the triumph, Beaver County Christian advances its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The travel to South Side (Hookstown, PA) to clash with the Rams in a WPIAL A 1 test on Thursday, September 4. The Rams come into the test with a record of 1-1.
The Cougars now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Leechburg for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2.

BCCS won their third straight away game by scoring 2 in the second half at Blackhawk. Senior Ben Crefeld opened the scoring on a top corner bullet off a long throw in from Elias Bosch. Zach Stephens followed up with another top corner goal minutes later off a turn over. BCCS controlled the play earning 7 corner kicks to zero for Blackhawk.
BCCS goalie Mike Lanigan got his 3rd shutout of the year with 4 saves.
