The Mendota Trojans soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Bloomington Purple Raiders to 0 in the Trojans non-league victory on Saturday.
The Trojans now hold a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Riverdale for a Three Rivers game on Tuesday, September 2. Mendota will face a Rams team coming off a 0-0 non-league Schaumburg Christian (Schaumburg, IL). The Rams record now stands at 0-3.
The Purple Raiders (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Saints enter the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Bloomington Central Catholic nudged Riverton (Riverton, IL), 2-1, in a non-league bout.
