In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Van Buren Black Knights soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Genoa Area Comets.
The Black Knights (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against Bluffton (Bluffton, OH). The Pirates go into the non-league outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Bluffton got by Wapakoneta (Wapakoneta, OH), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Comets play the Maumee Panthers (Maumee, OH) in a Northern Buckeye game, on Wednesday, September 3. Genoa Area will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 3-2 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Swanton (Swanton, OH).
