The Lions (10-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Texas (Texarkana, TX). The Tigers come into the 5A Region II District 10 challenge with a 9-11 record. In their last challenge, Texas lost by Madisonville (Madisonville, TX), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars face the White Longhorns (Dallas, TX) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 3. Adams will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record. The Longhorns go into the test with a 10-7 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Conrad (Dallas, TX).
