In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Broadway Gobblers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Amelia County Raiders.
The Gobblers (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Western Albemarle gained a win over Riverbend (Fredericksburg, VA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Raiders now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mecklenburg County for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Amelia County will play a Phoenix team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Amherst County (Amherst, VA). The Phoenix record now stands at 0-2.
