Texas High School Volleyball - Texas City winner over Anahuac

Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Anahuac Panthers (Anahuac, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Texas City improves its record to 6-7 on the season. The Stingarees host Angleton (Angleton, TX) to meet the Wildcats in a 5A Region III District 20 challenge on Friday, September 5. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 11-7. Angleton won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Brazosport (Freeport, TX)

The Panthers now sport a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shepherd for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. Anahuac will face a Pirates squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Dayton (Dayton, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 3-6.
