With the win, Axtell improves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Eagles host Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool (Topeka, KS) to meet the Nighthawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 30. The Nighthawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next, the Bears meet the Jefferson West Tigers (Meriden, KS) in a Big East challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. St. Marys will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
