In Saturday's non-league bout, the Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY), by a count of 2-1.
Next up, the Spartans battle the Raceland Rams (Raceland, KY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 30. Sayre will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Rams enter the match with a 3-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Russell (Russell, KY).
The Tomcats (8-1) will now prepare for their match against Russell (Russell, KY). The Red Devils enter the non-league match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Russell held off Raceland (Raceland, KY), 3-0, in a league match.
