In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Davis Sr. Blue Devils volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Branham Bruins.

The Blue Devils (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Campolindo (Moraga, CA). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Campolindo was edged by Redwood (Larkspur, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Bruins now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ponderosa for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. Branham will face a Bruins squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Union Mine (El Dorado, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 0-4.
