In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Hartselle Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Brooks Lions.
The Tigers (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Austin (Decatur, AL). The Black Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 13-3 record. In their last challenge, Austin beat Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS), 2-1, in a non-league test.
The Lions now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Huntsville for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. Brooks will face a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Ocean Springs (Ocean Springs, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 3-2.
