With the win, Maize South advances its record to 5-0 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Kapaun Mt. Carmel (Wichita, KS) to face the Crusaders in a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. The Crusaders go into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Crusaders now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Winfield for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III challenge on Tuesday, September 2. Buhler will play a Vikings team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Rose Hill (Rose Hill, KS). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.
