In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Lexington Minutemen volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Byron Tigers.
The Minutemen (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Coal City (Coal City, IL). The Coalers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Coal City went down by Morris (Morris, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Galena for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Byron will face a Pirates squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Stockton (Stockton, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 6-0.
