The North Newton Spartans volleyball squad (Morocco, IN), was defeated 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Calumet Christian Patriots (Griffith, IN)

With the win, Calumet Christian improves its record to 11-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hammond Central (Hammond, IN) to encounter the Wolves in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 30. The Wolves go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Hammond Central won 3-0 in their recent league battle against East Chicago Central (East Chicago, IN)

The Spartans now own a 0-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Central for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 30. North Newton will encounter a Satellites squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Hebron (Hebron, IN). The Satellites record now stands at 6-4.
