Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to meet the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 9. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
