The Clear Lake Lions (Clear Lake, IA) volleyball knocked off the visiting North Butler Bearcats (Greene, IA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Humboldt for a North Central contest on Thursday, September 4. Clear Lake will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Norwalk (Norwalk, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-1.
Next, the Bearcats battle the Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 2. North Butler will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA).
