In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Fort Payne Wildcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Columbia Eagles.
The Wildcats (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lawrence County (Moulton, AL). The Red Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Lawrence County beat Arab (Arab, AL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles play the Mae Jemison Jaguars (Huntsville, AL) in a 6A Area 16 challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Columbia will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Jaguars go into the game with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Oakwood Academy (Huntsville, AL).
