In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Des Moines Demons volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Trinidad Miners.
The Demons (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mountain Valley (Saguache, CO). The Wolves come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Mountain Valley lost by Creede (Creede, CO), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Miners meet the Sierra Grande Panthers (Blanca, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 30. Trinidad will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 1-3 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Nucla (Nucla, CO).
