The Marquette Defenders volleyball team (Bellevue, IA), was beaten 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings (Edgewood, IA)

The Vikings (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (Elkader, IA). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Central was beaten by Oelwein (Oelwein, IA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Defenders face the Wapsie Valley Warriors (Fairbank, IA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 30. Marquette will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 2-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over North Tama (Traer, IA).
