Colorado High School Volleyball - Sangre de Cristo over Ellicott

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds (Mosca, CO) and the host Ellicott Thunderhawks (Calhan, CO), observed Sangre de Cristo's volleyball team top Ellicott by a count of 2-0.

With the win, Sangre de Cristo improves its record to 2-5 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Mountain Valley (Saguache, CO) to encounter the Wolves in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Wolves go into the battle with a record of 0-5. Mountain Valley lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Sierra Grande (Blanca, CO)

The Thunderhawks now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walsenburg for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 30. Ellicott will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Swallows Charter Academy (Pueblo West, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
