The Wildcats (14-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenwood (Midland, TX). The Rangers come into the non-league challenge with a 15-5 record. In their last challenge, Greenwood lost by Andrews (Andrews, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Chieftans play the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Friona will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Matadors come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Andrews (Andrews, TX).
