The Garland Owls volleyball squad (Garland, TX), dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Whitehouse Wildcats (Whitehouse, TX)

The Wildcats (14-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lufkin (Lufkin, TX). The Panthers enter the 5A Region II District 10 contest with a 22-4 record. In their last contest, Lufkin notched a victory over Pine Tree (Longview, TX), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Owls battle the Rowlett Eagles (Rowlett, TX) in a 6A Region II District 9 contest, on Tuesday, September 2. Garland will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 4-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to University (Waco, TX).
