Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Neches Tigers (Neches, TX) and the visiting Grand Saline Indians (Grand Saline, TX), observed Neches's volleyball team hold off Grand Saline by a count of 2-1.

The Tigers (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Grapeland (Grapeland, TX). The Sandies enter the non-league test with a 0-7 record. In their last test, Grapeland was edged by Edgewood (Edgewood, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Indians now own a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chapel Hill for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. Grand Saline will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Eustace (Eustace, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-14.
