In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Sayre Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Johnson Central Golden Eagles.
The Spartans (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pikeville (Pikeville, KY). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Pikeville achieved victory over Phelps (Phelps, KY), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perry County Central for a non-league test on Monday, September 1.
