Illinois High School Volleyball - Mercer County can't get by Knoxville

Knoxville Blue Bullets (Knoxville, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Knoxville improves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Blue Bullets travel to Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL) to face the Titans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 30. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Monmouth-Roseville lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Knoxville (Knoxville, IL)

Next, the Golden Eagles play the Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 30. Mercer County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Princes come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL).
