Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Oak Forest Bengals (Oak Forest, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Coal City (Coal City, IL). The Coalers come into the Illinois Central Eight challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Coal City lost by Lexington (Lexington, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bengals play the Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Oak Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Raptors come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL).
