With the win, Massac County improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL) to face the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 3-0. Pinckneyville won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL)

Next, the Hornets play the Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Nashville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL).
