In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting McPherson Bullpups volleyball squad scored a 2-0 win over the Newton Railroaders.

With the win, McPherson improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bullpups travel to Mulvane (Mulvane, KS) to face the Wildcats in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III test on Tuesday, September 2. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 3-1. Mulvane lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Salina Central (Salina, KS)

The Railroaders now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Center for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30.
