Illinois High School Volleyball - Serena over Mendota

In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Serena Huskers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Mendota Trojans.

The Huskers (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Tigers come into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Princeton was defeated by LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sherrard for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. Mendota will face a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Kewanee (Kewanee, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.
