In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting University Prep Panthers volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Merced Bears.
Next up, the Panthers face the Reno Huskies (Reno, NV) in a non-league game, on Saturday, August 30. University Prep will attempt to advance on its 10-4 season record. The Huskies go into the game with a 3-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV).
The Bears (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Hilmar (Hilmar, CA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league game with a 10-0 record. In their last game, Hilmar nudged Middleton (Middleton, ID), 2-0, in a non-league game.
