Illinois High School Volleyball - Metro-East Lutheran can't hold off Routt Catholic

In Saturday's non-league match, the Routt Catholic Rockets (Jacksonville, IL) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), by a final score of 2-1.

Next up, the Rockets confront the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 2. Routt Catholic will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Bluejays enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Springfield (Springfield, IL).

The Knights (0-8) will now prepare for their match against Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL). The Hawks come into the non-league bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, Gibault Catholic was nudged by Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL), 2-1, in a non-league bout.
