Texas High School Volleyball - United South edged by Mission Veterans Memorial

Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots (Mission, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host United South Panthers (Laredo, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Mission Veterans Memorial improves its record to 20-1 on the season. The Patriots host Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX) to meet the Rattlers in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a record of 1-6.

Next, the Panthers meet the Incarnate Word Shamrocks (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. United South will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Shamrocks come into the challenge with a 8-16 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Poth (Poth, TX).
