Stevens Point Panthers (Stevens Point, WI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the visiting New Berlin West Vikings (New Berlin, WI), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Bay Port (Green Bay, WI). The Pirates enter the non-league challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Bay Port got by Waupaca (Waupaca, WI), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings (Milwaukee, WI) in a Woodland - West challenge, on Thursday, September 4. New Berlin West will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Oconomowoc (Oconomowoc, WI).
