In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Postville Pirates volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Valley Lutheran Crusaders.
The Pirates (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Madrid (Madrid, IA). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Madrid lost by Ogden (Ogden, IA), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next up, the Crusaders face the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons (Parkersburg, IA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 2. Valley Lutheran will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Falcons go into the game with a 8-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA).
