The Raiders (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Shallowater (Shallowater, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Shallowater was beaten by El Paso (El Paso, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Longhorns meet the Littlefield Wildcats (Littlefield, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Vega will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Pecos (Pecos, TX).
