In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Rockport-Fulton Pirates volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Shiner Comanches.
The Pirates (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX). The Cobras enter the non-league challenge with a 21-12 record. In their last challenge, Industrial was beaten by Stevens (San Antonio, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Comanches now own a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rice Consolidated for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Shiner will face a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Ganado (Ganado, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 7-9.
