Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA) and the host St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA), observed Southeast Valley's volleyball team hold off St. Edmond by a tally of 2-1.

The Jaguars (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Newell-Fonda was tipped by Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Gaels meet the Storm Lake Tornadoes (Storm Lake, IA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 2. St. Edmond will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Tornadoes go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Storm Lake St. Mary (Storm Lake, IA).
