In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Mountain Island Charter Raptor soccer squad scored a close 5-3 win over the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons.

The Raptor (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinals go into the non-league battle with a 1-5 record.

The Gryphons (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs go into the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A bout with a 1-5 record.
