The Governors (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hammond Central (Hammond, IN). The Wolves come into the Great Lakes battle with a 2-4 record.

Next, the Hawks clash with the Victory Christian Academy Lions (Valparaiso, IN) in a South Shore Athletic battle, on Thursday, September 1. Hammond Academy of Science & Tech will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Lions come into the battle with a 6-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Community Baptist Christian (South Bend, IN).
