High School Football - Acadiana Christian overwhelms Varsity Opponent

The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Acadiana Christian Defenders (Lafayette, LA) and the host Varsity Opponent (, ), observed Acadiana Christian's football squad bounce Varsity Opponent by a count of 42-6.

The Defenders now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Tomball Christian HomeSchool for a Freelance contest on Saturday, September 9. Acadiana Christian will play a Warriors squad coming off a 62-7 non-league loss to Kinkaid (Houston, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.

Coming up next, the play the Waldron Mohawks (Waldron, IN) in a 8-Man Freelance (8 Man) contest, on Friday, September 1. Varsity Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Mohawks go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 22-20 non-league win over Rock Creek Academy (Sellersburg, IN).
