Texas High School Football - Brewer held off by Wakeland

In Thursday's non-league game, the Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) football team tipped the visiting Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX), by a final score of 34-27.

The Wolverines (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Heritage (Frisco, TX). The Coyotes come into the 5A-1 Region II District 6 game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Heritage got by Independence (Frisco, TX), 50-3, in a non-league game.

The Bears now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest for a 5A-1 Region I District 3 game on Friday, September 15.
